Zoopark Ship at Merlin's

We are a small zoo, which focuses on breeding some exotic species of animals, but you can also see farm animals, as used to be the custom in the villages.

You can see camels, llamas, horses, goats, sheep, buffaloes, puma, exotic birds, meerkats, small domestic animals, lizards, frogs, monkeys, different kinds of parrots, poultry, turtles, porcupines, domestic cattle, donkeys, peacocks, ostriches, ...

Here we say you have "animals at your fingertips". Some you can feed, some you can pet, some you can watch...
If it is within our possibilities, we will be happy to talk to you and talk about our animals :-).
We also keep several protected and rare or critically endangered species. We can also boast of our own offspring.

And if any of our animals look familiar or familiar to you, that's possible too. We have several movie "stars" here.

When you are alone in the zoo after closing time, sit on a bench, for example in front of the llama enclosure, and watch them. Or watch the porcupines dig their burrows...
For children we have several play elements in the area, during the day they can also go to the enclosure to our small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs).

Calm, relaxed and sensible campers will be happy to welcome us with their motorhome. A place for camping is ready. It is a meadow at the top of the zoo in the quiet zone.
Since you will be camping in a paid and closed part of our grounds outside of zoo hours, there are a few rules to keep in mind.

Site for camping without camping.
A place is prepared for you in the upper part of the zoo where you will be alone and will not be disturbed by anyone. Visitors do not come there, so you will have peace and quiet. Your closest neighbours will be our horses and domestic buffaloes.
However, we are a zoo, so now and then, for example, our equipment will pass by to collect a bale of straw, etc. Admission to the zoo is included for the duration of your non-camping stay with us.

Access to the property.
Almost as far as you can drive on the asphalt. You enter the zoo from the back and here we allow you to pass through the horse pasture (the road is rutted, up a slight hill - see photo in gallery). We will open the entrance and exit for you. For this reason it is always necessary to make an appointment in advance to arrange arrival and then departure. As the zoo has opening hours for the public, you may have to wait a while before we can clear. So we prefer arrival/departure before or after closing hours. Everything is always by appointment :-), but please be understanding. We only have one hand.

Stay with us.
A few adult rules need to be respected :-).
Do not enter the pens with the animals. Don't pet the buffalo or cuddle the cougar... not a good idea.
Always keep puppies on a leash in the zoo and keep them well away from the enclosures.
You can feed the animals where it is allowed (information is on the enclosure), but only with our kibble. You can bring dry kibble to us, but do not feed it - always hand it to the keepers. Each animal has its own rations.

Zoo transport
When the zoo is open, the lower section adjacent to the farm closes. If you follow the rules, you can move around the upper part of the zoo without restrictions. You will be alone :-).


Arrival is possible from 10:00 or 17:00. It is ideal to make arrangements with us in advance - we drive through the public part of the Zoopark so that we do not complicate each other's lives :-).
