Access to the property may be difficult in rainy weather
A paved road without major potholes (worse asphalt) leads to the property, but the road is only occasionally maintained in winter. The land is a normal meadow and is not waterlogged in any way, but when it is very wet, movement around the meadow will be difficult. The driveway to the property is gravelled. In the event of bogging I am usually able to arrange for a tractor to be used to pull it out, but I don't anticipate this will be necessary.

There is a cycle path around the land and about 400 m from the camping site there is a nice asphalt cycle path that leads to Sušice or to the other side to Rabí and Horažďovice.

The trout river Otava is in place. Permit required.

Clean Otava River, outdoor swimming pool in Sušice or indoor swimming pool with water slide and saunas in Sušice.
hiking
Nearby is the Vintířova trail and it is possible to go into the forests and hills in the vicinity - Krásná vyhlídka, the hill of the Guardian Angel, Svatobor, Sedlo...
roller skating
You can ride in-line skis on the asphalt cycle path 400 m from the campsite and ride all the way to Sušice.

Other activities
Canoes - on the opposite shore there is a boat rental shop where you can rent everything you need. Ideal is a day trip by canoe Sušice - Horažďovice and return by train. From the railway station it is only a short walk to the palouk.
Fire hazards must be taken into account. Always water the fire with river water before leaving. In case of drought and a fire ban, respect this. Access to the river is free, please do not use neighbouring unfenced land.

Roughly mown land right next to the asphalt road on which relatively many people walk, so right next to the car is not much privacy. There were a lot of nettles in the grass and in wet weather I would be worried about getting bogged down. The owner even told us to call him and come with a tractor. The lower part of the land is accessible by a steep road for the tractor. We didn't find a fireplace or a table with a bench. Access to the river is overgrown and bushy.
Hrubě posekaný pozemek
- Ano, tráva byla vyšší. Vzhledem k tomu, že jde o louku, nikdy to nebude anglický trávníček. Po odjezdu jsme posekali, takže už je to lepší.
Hned u asfaltové cesty, po které chodí relativně dost lidi, takže přímo u auta není moc soukromí.
- Může to být výhoda či nevýhoda, podle toho, co hledáte. Výhodou je příjezd po zpevněné cestě a možnost po ní vyrazit pěšky či na kole.
Soukromí je v dolní části, kde můžete posedět.
V trávě bylo hodně kopřiv a za vlhka/deště bych se obával zapadnuti.
Majitel nám to i říkal s tím, ať se případně ozveme a přijede s traktorem.
- Budeme častěji sekat trávu, takže kopřivy na louce nebudou mít šanci.
Jak uvádím, louka není nějak podmáčená, ale v případě silnějšího deště je jako na jiných loukách riziko uvíznutí. V nouzi volejte.
Dolní část pozemku přístupna po strmé cestě pro traktor. Ohniště ani stůl s lavici jsme nenašli.
- Na dolní část se autem nezajíždí, dá se po ní pěšky sejít do části, kde je větší soukromí. Za chybějící lavici a stůl se omlouvám, host byl úplně první a objednal na poslední chvíli, takže jsem nestačil včas dovést. Teď už je stůl s lavicemi na místě.
Přístup k řece je zarostlý a krkolomný.
- Je to lužní les, trochu divočina, ale pokusím se prosekat cestičku.
