Cottage u Vlka is located on the edge of the castle pond and that alone makes it unique. It is part of the grounds of a former farmhouse with at least 150 years of history, which we are trying to breathe new life into. For example, you can meet various animals, such as ducks that come to our bar under the apple tree to pick a few apples and then waddle like ladies after cider. Or an otter stomping around the garden at night. Our faithful companion Sissy, the cat lady. And as an absolute gem, you can see the master stork that has a nest on the chimney of the former distillery, which can be seen from here. The master stork is no longer afraid of us, and year after year he makes regular visits directly to the cottage, it is possible to see him lurking for mice just a meter away. Or sitting on a log that's fallen into the pond and he's resting on it or hunting poor frogs. But what is also important, as I have already mentioned, we have the Lnáře castle in sight and 8 km away in Blatná the most beautiful and largest water castle in Bohemia. Then there is the town of Písek, a jewel in the form of a whole town, called Little Prague, or the oldest stone bridge. In the surroundings there are cycle paths, various other sights such as wigwams, etc. There is a lot and I couldn't even fit it here. We hope you will visit us and enjoy not only the view of the castle and the paradisiacal peace. We have also arranged for an experienced gold digger who will be happy to spend a day with you by appointment panning for gold, giving you a practical demonstration and allowing you to try out this ancient art of our ancestors.
