In the very west of the Czech Republic lies Aš, near which there is a flooded quarry. At this quarry you will find an ideal place to rest and NEWLY you CAN USE an unconventional sauna.

It's summer here and that includes woods, meadows, swimming, barbecues and you'll find it all at a forgotten quarry with crystal water that will satiate you with its greenish beauty. The frolicking summer wakes the local area from its nostalgic atmosphere, but you will still find plenty of peace and quiet.
The quarry lies on the border of forest and pastures in the undiscovered Smrčiny Nature Park, at the entrance to the Ašský výběžek region, 7 km from Františkovy Lázně. A pleasant swimming in clear water awaits you, with the possibility of diving. You can take a walk in the forests of the nature park or go cycling to discover the region on the dense network of cycle paths, one of which leads right next to the quarry. If the weather doesn't cooperate, there is a sauna next to the quarry to warm up your body.
There are a large number of tourist destinations in the vicinity: the Františkovy Lázně (7 km), the Cheb Monument Zone (14km), the Vildštejn Castle (12km), the Seeberg Castle (5km), the Háj u Aše lookout tower (14km), the Czech Yellowstone - the Soos Geological Park (14km) and also places that J.W. Goethe loved to visit - the Komorní hůrka volcano (12km) or the nearby Goethe Rocks (5km). Across the border in Germany, there is the town of Selb (22km), made famous by the Rosenthal porcelain, or the rock labyrinth of Luisenburg (40km).
A stone's throw away is the eco-farm in Polná, where you can blend in with country life or explore the surroundings from the horse saddle. If you are friends with a golf club, the nearby 18-hole course in Hazl (4km) or the 9-hole course near Luby await you.
Visit the most westerly getaway in Bohemia.
Summer evenings in this quarry are truly magical.

The quarry is not fenced and the rules we have set do not strictly forbid people to enter the quarry, they only limit it to a time (30 min). Random movement of people is usually only on hot summer days. Don't worry the quarry is not besieged by people. We encourage everyone with instructions to respect each other and respect the peace. Other months, the quarry will once again be embraced by the sleepy beauty of the local area.

The last 300m of the driveway leads on an asphalt road with a crushed and uneven surface. Stall number two has a slightly downhill approach and there could be a problem with the exit. Stalls 1 and 3 are at the level of the driveway and there is no problem entering and exiting.

One of the 11 cycling routes in Aš leads directly around the quarry. This area has the densest network of cycling routes in the Karlovy Vary Region. Ride through the Smrčiny Park between Cheb and Aš, or ride across the border to the German Naturpark Fichtelgrbirge.

Goethe Rocks (6km) are the westernmost climbing locality in the Czech Republic. Some of the 113 routes are equipped with fixed belay

winter sports

Trips on cross-country skis or snowshoes through the white silence are magical here. There is a public ski slope in Háj u Aše. You can skate on the frozen surface in the quarry under suitable conditions. Beware of holes in the ice - the quarry is frequented by hardy people!

water sports

Swimming is possible directly in the clean water of the quarry. Under the roof you can bathe in the Aquaforum Františkovy lázně (9km) or in the city spa in Bad Brambach (14km) where there is a sauna village or in Bad Elster (24km).

hiking

Wander to the places J.W.Goethe liked to visit (Goethe's Rock, Chamber Hill). The circular route near Vernéřov will take you through the history of the region. On the German side, the Vogtland Panorama Weg, which is appreciated by tourists, leads through Bad Brambach.

Beautiful place that has everything the owners advertise. You can see at every turn that the owners care for the quarry with a love of nature. Even though the price is higher than usual for a no-camp site, there are bonuses you wouldn't dream of. Excellent communication with the owners, a box of barbecue supplies, sports facilities , sauna, extraordinary kadibudka and clean water in the quarry...there is nothing to complain about , on the contrary, hats off to you, dear owners, you have our admiration.👍👏

Very beautiful place that matches the description. At every step you can see that the owners take care of it, give it energy and constantly improve it. Tidy, lots of equipment available, we were given a perfect manual in advance what and how to use. We tried the tent sauna, in a beautiful grove among oaks and birch trees, and it exceeded our expectations. We ordered one for our home as well. We like the fact that it's a place where you have the space to yourself, but at the same time it's open to meet other guests or locals who occasionally drop by to cool off. I think the owners manage to keep a very nice balance, both in the number of guests and locals, to keep the place quiet. Both the owners and the visitors we met here were friendly and easy going people. We would love to return here.
