Lom Smrčiny caravan or tent pitch No.4

In the very west of the Czech Republic lies Aš, near which there is a flooded quarry. At this quarry you will find an ideal place to rest and NEWLY you CAN USE an unconventional sauna.

I allow only one reservation for a caravan or tent at this place, so that you have the whole place to yourself If you are travelling more, the possibility to book an extra tent remains.
It's summer and that includes the forest, meadows, swimming, barbecues and all this you will find at a forgotten quarry with crystal water that will saturate you with its greenish beauty. The romp of summer will wake the local region from its nostalgic atmosphere, but you will still find plenty of peace and quiet here.
The quarry lies on the border of forest and pastures in the undiscovered Smrčiny Nature Park, at the entrance to the Ašský výběžek region, 7 km from Františkovy Lázně. A pleasant swimming in clear water awaits you, with the possibility of diving. You can take a walk in the forests of the nature park or go cycling to discover the region on the dense network of cycle paths, one of which leads right next to the quarry. If the weather is not favourable, there is a sauna next to the quarry to warm up your body.
There are many tourist destinations in the surroundings: the Františkovy Lázně (7 km), the Cheb Monument Zone (14km), the Vildštejn Castle (12km), the Seeberg Castle (5km), the Háj u Aše lookout tower (14km), the Czech Yellowstone - the Soos Geological Park (14km) and also places that J.W. Goethe loved to visit - the Komorní hůrka volcano (12km) or the nearby Goethe Rocks (5km). Across the border in Germany, there is the town of Selb (22km), made famous by the Rosenthal porcelain, or the rock labyrinth of Luisenburg (40km).
A stone's throw away is the eco-farm in Polná, where you can blend in with country life or explore the surroundings from the horse saddle. If you are friends with a golf club, the nearby 18-hole course in Hazl (4km) or the 9-hole course near Luby await you.
Visit the most westerly getaway in Bohemia.
Summer evenings in this quarry are truly magical.

The quarry is not fenced and the rules we have set do not strictly forbid people to enter the quarry, they just limit it to a time (30 min). Random movement of people is usually only on hot summer days. Don't worry the quarry is not besieged by people. We encourage everyone with instructions to respect each other and respect the peace. Other months, the quarry will once again be embraced by the sleepy beauty of the local area.
